Éva Palócz also responded to the poll question of the journal 'Külgazdaság'

The question of “How far do structural changes either occuring spontaneously or as a result of  the changing state regulation comply with international trends?” was posed in the most recent issue of the quarterly ‘Kulgazdasag’ journal inviting prestigous economists to give their answers.  Reindustrialization as a proposal and desired route has popped up in the rhetorics of both European and Hungarian economic policymakers, however while in Europe this is imagined via the strengthening of the processing industry along with the further increase of the service sector, in Hungary it is conceptualized (in a flawed manner) by strengthening the processing industry to the detriment of the service sector, points out Éva Palócz in her article.
