Annual investment growth attained

The volume of investments increased by 4.6% year-on-year in Q2. This means the end of a long-lasting declining130831_Investment growth trend: investments expanded the last time in Q4 2007. Volume growth was experienced both in construction (5.8%) and in machines, equipment and vehicles (2.4%). Moreover, investments increased both in the public and the private sector. Yet, investment growth was clearly driven by the public sector that attained 28% growth y-o-y, whereas investments in the private sector expanded by a mere 3%. Annual investment growth took place due to base effects: in quarter-on-quarter terms, investments declined by 0.1% in seasonally adjusted terms.
