CPI slightly accelerated in June

1306_Mom_Yoy_CPI_2In June, Hungarian CPI reached 0,2% month-on-month and 1,9% year-on-year. This was an acceleration with respect to both -0,1% month-on-month and 1,8% year-on-year in April. Food, services and other (including gasoline) prices rose above average. Core inflation is slowing but it was still 3% year-on-year in June. Regulated prices fell 2,9% year-on-year due to the 10% cut in energy prices the Government ordered in February. This is still a major component of disinflation, although lack of demand and slowing global raw material prices have also placed a role.
